Plastic Recycling Process
Intro
Our proprietary technology liquefies waste plastic and recovers valuable hydrocarbons through a patented distillation process. The resulting product can be made into fully circular virgin-quality plastic resins.
Initial Processing: Size Reduction and Melting
Step 1.
Mixed plastic waste is fed into a blender where the plastics are reduced in size and then gradually heated at precise temperatures to enable them to flow.
Removing Impurities and Moisture from Molten Plastic
Step 2.
During this stage, residual moisture and any non-plastic particles - such as paper, aluminum, and dirt - are filtered out of the molten plastics.
Molecular Breakdown of Plastics into Vapors
Step 3.
The molten plastic enters an oxygen-free chamber where the molecular structure is deconstructed, releasing valuable hydrocarbons in vapor form.
Liquefying the Vapor-Phase Hydrocarbons
Step 4.
The vapors then pass through a series of air and water-cooled condensers and separators, converting the vapors into liquid form.
Final Stage Filtration and Product Refinement
Step 5.
The liquid flows through successive treatment tanks, where it undergoes a liquefaction process to further purify the product and eliminate unwanted compounds.

When the process is complete, we have Circulon™, a proprietary circular material that replaces fossil fuel in the production of new plastics.
